LSEF Officers 2008-2009 President: Joseph VP: Meylina Devotion: So-Ling Treasurer: Gene Activity Coordinator: Jeff Fan Vision of LSEF The vision of LSEF is to become a community of Christ–like disciples who build up one another through the spiritual sacrifices of worship, fellowship and evangelism (1 Pet. 2:5). o Worship: We aim to worship through (1) vibrant singing and (2) in-depth bible study in Sunday school and inductive bible studies..This year, we have studied the book of Galatians and are now studying 1 Samuel in Sunday school. o Fellowship We aim to fellowship in love by bearing one another’s burdens and praying for one another.Our fellowship has become more diverse this past year and is now comprised of brother and sisters from eight different countries.Indeed, God’s love transcends borders, cultures, and language. LESF is truly is a community of colorful, living stones! o Evangelism: We have conducted brief Evangelical Explosion (EE) trainings this summer. In the recent months, LSEF has committed itself to evangelism through Nova SE campus outreach. We have held four evangelistic meetings at the Nova Campus on 9/13/2008, 10/18/2008 and 11/15/2008 and will have another one on12/13/2008.Through these meetings, many newcomers have come and heard the gospel. Since then, approximately 40, mostly mandarin speaking students, have joined these events and some of those have come to the church on Sunday and worship with us. We pray that God will move the hearts of mandarin speaking brothers and sisters to come and partner with us in this wonderful opportunity. In the future, Pastor Linus and other members will be visiting some of the students or inviting them to a home to reach out on a smaller group setting and present the gospel to them as well.
